ALBERTO LEPAGE
Violist Alberto Lepage began his musical studies when he was five years old under his mother tutelage, Professor Olga S. de Lepage.
He later continued in the “Seminario de Perfeccionamiento Instrumental” (Instrumental Advanced Training Seminar) at Teatro San Martín in Córdoba with Professor Ernesto Andreoti, as well as with Ernesto Blum in Buenos Aires. At the moment, he leads an intensive life as artist and educator as Principal Violist of the Córdoba Symphony Orchestra and Córdoba Wind Orchestra. He is also a member of the “La Barroca del Suquía,” conducted by Manfredo Kraemer, and of the Córdoba Philharmonic Quartet. He is tenured Professor of Viola and Chair of Chamber Ensemble at the Faculty of Arts, National University of Córdoba. He has featured as soloist with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, on a European concert tour that visited the most renowned halls of Germany, Switzerland, England and Holland. He has also performed as soloist with the Camerata Bariloche. In 2009, he was awarded the KONEX National Award for Classical Music. The Merit Diploma recognizes him as one of the decade’s five most outstanding string instrumentalists in all of Argentina. |
