NEW DOCTA FELLOWSHIPS AND COMPETITIONS
A vital part of New Docta’s mission is to promote cultural and educational exchange between the US, Argentina and South America. To help connect South America’s top talent with the US and the rest of the world, New Docta stages competitions for rotating instruments featuring prize awards up to USD$10,000 and professional mentorship, with potential opportunities for scholarships to US-based universities and summer music festivals.
To connect US-based musicians with Argentina and South America, New Docta established its annual Fellowship, open to any musician currently studying in a degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning in the US. Fellows are awarded a USD$1,000 stipend and all-expense paid travel to the annual New Docta Festival in Argentina, where they absorb performance, teaching and administrative techniques alongside the New Docta Artists.
